Our purpose
We publish practical guidance for people looking for, or starting, their first professional job. Every guide should help a reader complete a specific task: write something, prepare for something, decide something or understand something they will face at work.
How we choose topics
Topics come from the questions first-time job seekers and new employees commonly ask, the requirements that repeat across entry-level job postings and suggestions from readers. We prioritize topics where clear, step-by-step guidance makes a real difference.
How guides are written
- Practical structure: each guide explains the steps, shows examples and ends with a concrete next action.
- Labeled examples: names, companies, numbers and scenarios in examples and templates are fictional and labeled as such.
- No invented data: we do not publish made-up statistics, survey results or quotes. Where a topic depends on law, tax or official rules, we describe general principles and link to official sources, such as government labor and tax agencies.
- No fabricated experience: we do not attach invented credentials, testimonials or personal stories to our byline.
- Plain language: we avoid jargon or explain it when it is unavoidable.

Featured images are original graphics made for this website. We do not present illustrations as photographs of real people or events.
Independence and advertising
We do not accept payment for coverage, rankings or recommendations. The website may display advertising from Google AdSense; advertisers have no influence over what we publish, and ads are labeled. If we ever use affiliate links, we will disclose them clearly on the page where they appear.
Updates and reviews
